FUNDING AND INTEGRITY

FUNDING AND INTEGRITY

As light of hope children’s ministry, we believe in demonstrating integrity through accountability and transparency in all financial dealings to all stakeholders. Given the changing needs of the organization that need financial sustainability, we always need to demonstrate and reflect our ability to maintain the organization’s diverse capacities. As such we are open to scrutiny by all stakeholders who could have their own opinions based on the level of fulfilment of their expectations and the attention received by the organization. Sponsors and donors are free to come and visit LOHO Uganda, meet the children they sponsor, see our accounts etc. we desire to hide nothing but remain above reproach. We therefore, have systems in place to assess the prudent management of received resources and funds from donors and sponsors. It is these systems that enable stakeholders to assess the appropriate destinations of resources according to their purpose. In our service to the Lord and within our God given abilities we commit the following to our donors;  To use the donated funds only for things that are in clear alignment with our mission, vision and core values;  To exercise complete integrity in the use of all donated funds; To use the donated funds as designated by the donor unless he or she gives us permission to do otherwise; To do our utmost to use the donated funds in the most efficient way possible; To be open with the donors if they would ever like to review an audit; To communicate with the donors about the use of the donated funds through our updates.

Transparency and clear accountability build our financial capacity which comprises resources that provide us with the ability to seize opportunities and to react to unexpected threats while continuing to manage general operations in serving the lord and the children. We know that we serve children in high-need communities that require consistent and continually available services and as such we need financial sustainability to maintain or expand services to the children.

Openness and Stakeholder participation

Given the changing needs of the organization that need financial sustainability, we always need to demonstrate and reflect our ability to maintain the organization’s diverse capacities. As such we are open to scrutiny by all stakeholders who could have their own opinions based on the level of fulfilment of their expectations and the attention received by the organization. Sponsors and donors are free to come and visit and see how much their support has done in doing the great work of God in creating hope for the children. By doing this, we want to ensure that you our sponsors, donors and prayer partners feel that you are fully part of this great work of God and that it is your very own initiative
